Bo Harris

Bo made his start a d honed his skills in theatre. There, he wrote and directed a gospel play entitled “He’ll Bring you out”, later to be called “Just Stand”. He also showed his wide range of talents by writing songs and directing musicians for theatrical performances. After 8 years, Bo turned his talents to television.
Bo worked as a photojournalist covering local and national news. Working 25 years combined with an ABC/NBC affiliate and CBS/FOX affiliate, he quickly learned the difference in shooting news versus film. The job has put Bo in unique and sometimes challenging positions, such as shooting crime scenes, murder trials and funerals. It also can be rewarding and uplifting when covering concerts, space shuttle lift off’s NFL games and Super Bowls. Bo has been recognized for his shooting excellence, winning several awards in television news. He has been awarded Emmy awards for his outstanding work as well as the recipient of the RTNDA Unity award. Bo has also won several Edward R. Murrow and a few Associated Press awards and many others. Bo says just doing his best is award enough and not something he was looking for, but he’ll take it. Bo has stated ” he is honored to have been given these awards and to God be the glory.”
Bo’s television experience only magnified his ambition as a filmmaker and in 2003, Bo directed his first full feature film entitled “Game Night.”
Bo’s talents extend outside the camera lens and off the paper, he is also a life long musician and song writer. Playing Bass guitar since age 11, Bo has traveled up and down the east coast performing and learning about the entertainment business.
In 2003 Bo started his own company in video production called True Victory Productions and later that year it expanded into Bo Film Works. Bo Film Works is a Christian based production company focused on writing, directing, editing and producing quality Christian entertainment. The goal is to give Christians entertainment they won’t feel compromised watching. They produce Christian music, shows, movies and more. Bo’s latest Film release is entitled “A Mother’s Hope ” is now streaming on Amazon Prime, Tubi, Google Play and YouTube TVOD. Bo is also working on a new feature film currently entitled “Trying Times” as well as a Series entitled, “Choices”
